Police investigate aggravated break and enter at Dulwich Hill jewellery store

Police are investigating an aggravated break and enter which took place in broad daylight at a jewellery store in Dulwich Hill this afternoon.

About 1.30pm police responded to reports of a break and enter occurring at Konstan Jewellery Design on Marrickville Road.

CCTV footage from the shop captured two men two men in dark hooded sweatshirts smashing the glass windows at the front of the store with hammers before getting into a grey Honda Jazz to flee the scene. A third suspect was in the car.

The store's owner George Konstantinidis was inside at the time of the robbery and estimates the thieves stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery. Fortunately, he was not injured.

Officers attached to the Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
